You gotta see this.
Bo Burnham’s latest special “Inside” on Netflix is deeply relatable. I’ve been a fan of his for a long time, and I honestly think it is his best work yet.
He created it during the pandemic, filming it entirely by himself in one room. Just the fact that he created anything this year is super impressive to me, especially since I’ve been over here just trying to exist (LOL). But the fact that it turned out SO well is even more impressive. I mean, just the lighting setups are straight-up visually amazing, and that’s just the lights. I think the songs are his best yet. Overall, the amount of work that went into this is insane, and how well it turned out. Man, it’s mind-blowing.
It’s all exceptionally insightful, relatable, sad, AND funny. I feel like it’s an all-encompassing time capsule of exactly what a lot of us have been going through, and what most of us are still going through because of literally everything happening right now.
Here’s “Welcome to the Internet” from it:
The ridiculous spiraling insanity of it just sums it all up, doesn’t it?
Anyway, I feel like the entire special feels like how I’ve felt this whole time. Yaaay.
“So um, uhh… my current mental health is-is rapidly approaching um, an ATL, which is um, an all-time low, not, not Atlanta.”
YUP. You know it, Bo.
I would say my current theme song is the song “Shit” which, I mean. Kinda speaks for itself. LOL.
Anyway, there’s not much left for me to say other than –
You gotta see it.
Until next time,
