MACxSamanthaRavndahl Review, Swatches & Dupes

I’ve been following Samantha Ravndahl aka @ssssamanthaa on instagram for awhile now so I was pretty eager to scoop up her MACxInfluencer Collab lipstick this April. Especially since I’m obsessed with nude pink lipsticks. Luckily, I’m Canadian so I could grab one of my own as soon as it launched. It’s definitely a huge bummer that only Canadians could pick this up online. Don’t fret though! If you can’t pick one up yourself but you really love the color I’ve figured out some dupes for you.

Here I’m wearing MACxSamanthaRavndahl Cremesheen Lipstick with Kylie Cosmetics Koko K Lip Pencil lining the outline of my lips.

I think it’s safe to say Samantha killed it with this pink. It’s described as a “light shell pink” and it’s a cremesheen, which is generally my favorite finish for a MAC lipstick as I have perpetually dry lips. If you don’t know already – cremesheens basically feel like a lip balm and have a sheer wash of color. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.

I actually went into MAC with my MACxSamanthaRavndahl lipstick in hand and swatched a bunch of lipsticks to find the perfect dupe in store. I found mixing Creme Cup (Cremesheen) and Pure Zen (Cremesheen) made the closest dupe.

When I got home I decided to experiment even more. I found mixing my Kylie Koko K Lip Pencil with MAC Creme Cup made the closest dupe out of anything I tried.

As you can see they’re not a perfect match, but pretty dang close.

I’m going to be doing a giveaway soon for my American followers so follow me along on instagram @kristinajmua and @kristinajohnstonmakeup and youtube to stay posted!

[…] I definitely prefer the MAC Samantha Lipstick to the YSL #10 Beige Tribute. (If you’re interested in reading my review on the MAC Samantha Lipstick you can check it out here.) […]
